As stated by Freetown Farm (the Community Ecology Institute) Food is responsible for approximately one quarter of the world's greenhouse gases. To slow the warming of our atmosphere, we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and store more carbon. Sustainable agriculture and gardening have great potential to do both.
